An exploration of the changing relationship between Modernism and power, architecture and propaganda, within Germany’s 20th century political identity. Living in the City of Tomorrow takes an observational look at the inhabitants and residences of Hansaviertel –Berlin’s mid-century showcase of Modernism. Albert Speer’s Die Bauten Adolf Hitler promotes a rather different architectural ideology. Followed by a Q&A between Marian Engel and Deyan Sudjic.
