Spotlight Sundays is an ongoing digital series that highlights people, collectives and initiatives doing transformative work across the built environment and its edges.

Released weekly via Instagram, each spotlight is a way to platform projects that might otherwise fall under the radar, whether they are rethinking architectural education, designing for inclusion, challenging industry norms, or building networks of care and support. The format is informal and celebratory, offering a short introduction to each featured group’s mission, methodology and impact, and inviting our followers to engage more deeply with their work.

What connects the individuals and organisations we spotlight is a shared drive to make architecture and spatial practice more just, accessible, and imaginative. Many operate outside traditional institutions, and many are led by those underrepresented in the field, young practitioners, community organisers, researchers, educators, designers, and cultural workers.

From grassroots play initiatives and inclusive internship schemes, to research collectives and new publishing platforms, Spotlight Sundays helps grow a culture of visibility and exchange. It is a space for recognition, solidarity and inspiration and for spotlighting projects we believe are shaping a more generous built environment.
