In February 2024, we revisited our ‘Peer Review’ workstream with a CV & Portfolio Workshop in collaboration with the brilliant team at Green Mat Workshop. This was aimed at students and recent graduates across all levels, the online session was created to support those navigating the job market by offering practical, peer-led feedback on portfolios, CVs and cover letters.
The evening opened with Green Mat’s founders Jacob and Theo, who shared tips and strategies for presenting design work clearly, structuring written content, and tailoring applications to different audiences. Participants then broke into small groups, each supported by Young Trustees—including Nachiket, Adara, George, Sian, and Bareera—for open, supportive discussion. Attendees shared their materials, received honest feedback, and learned from one another’s approaches, successes and challenges.
The session was coordinated by Young Trustee Nompsy, whose thoughtful organisation ensured the event was as collaborative as it was constructive. We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who participated and helped create a generous and energising space to grow confidence and sharpen presentation skills.
Whether you were polishing a final portfolio or just starting to draft your CV, this was a space to test ideas, gain new perspectives, and learn as a community. Thank you again to Jacob and Theo, and to everyone who made the evening such a success.
