Join practice director Luke Tozer and Peabody’s head of strategy for Thamesmead Ellen Halstead for a tour of this 5,522 sq m residential-led mixed-use development. The project set out to transform a vacant self-contained site and invigorate an emerging local centre. The distinctive curved elevation responds to the existing context and helps define a new civic space.
It provides 66 high quality homes arranged around a new communal garden and includes flexible community and commercial space at ground floor. It is part of a GLA funded initiative by Peabody, Bexley and Greenwich councils to deliver more homes within Abbey Wood, Plumstead and Thamesmead. The Reach sets an early benchmark for the development of this housing zone.
