Architecture on Stage is a programme of talks curated by the Architecture Foundation in partnership with the Barbican Centre.
The annual Rick Mather lecture is presented by an architect undertaking pioneering work in the field of sustainability. This year's talk is presented by the French practice Barrault Pressacco. The firm's recently published research project 'Wallness', presents a rethinking of the tectonic potential of building construction in light of increasing demands for insulation. Barrault Pressacco's built work includes the RIVP apartments in Paris which demonstrates the enduring relevance of loadbearing stone construction to contemporary housing.
