Working closely with LB Enfield and architecture practice Karakusevic Carson, The Architecture Foundation will be developing a strategy for short, medium and long-term meanwhile activity in the Ponders End area. Devised in relation to the proposals for The Electric Quarter scheme on the former Middlesex University and High Street frontage sites, The AF will also be curating and commissioning a pilot meanwhile project that will be delivered later this year.
The Architecture Foundation is pleased to announce an Open Call for creatives to get involved in the Pilot Meanwhile Project in Ponders End. This project will see the transformation of a vacant shop front into a vibrant and welcoming multifunctional space fit for holding events, hosting a permanent display on the area’s history and heritage, and incubating a start up business. For further details on the Open Call please click here.
Deadline for submissions: 15 July, 10am.
Both the meanwhile strategy and Pilot Meanwhile Project will be developed and delivered in partnership with the local community and in particular with the Town Team.
This project is funded by the Mayor's Outer London Fund. Other partners include Maccreanor Lavington and East.
