The AF is delighted to be partnering with the Aga Khan Award for Architecture for a critically engaged exploration of this illustrious initiative. A leading panel of influential built environment professionals – Farrokh Derakhshani (AKAA); Hanif Kara (Adams Kara Taylor); Farshid Moussavi (Farshid Moussavi Architecture); Mohsen Mostafavi (Harvard Graduate School of Design) and Alice Rawsthorn (International Herald Tribune) - will discuss the award’s exploration of design excellence, in societies across the world in which Muslims have a strong presence.

Providing an overview of the 2010 Award winners and the award’s underlying social, cultural and aesthetic motivations, the evening will also announce the search for projects for the Award’s upcoming 2013 edition, and the British launch of the Award’s recently published book, Implicate & Explicate.

The event is completely free with prior registration, to members[@]architecturefoundation.org.uk. Following the talk, a drinks reception will be held at the V&A for the audience.
