Heathrow Urban Pioneers

July - September 2012

During summer 2012 The Architecture Foundation's Urban Pioneers programme went to Heathrow. We ran a series of creative workshops with architects, artists and designers to examine the built environment, and recruitied 10 young people from the London Borough of Hillingdon.

Workshop leaders included architecture critic and broadcaster Tom Dyckhoff, illustrator Lucy Dalzell, grassroots action group Grow Heathrow, AECOM, Pie Architecture and designers Mass Observation.

You can see some of what the group got up to at the Heathrow Urban Pioneers blog.

If you would like more information, please contact The Architecture Foundation's Education Manager, Tom Keeley.

The Urban Pioneers Programme is sponsored by Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners.
