The Architecture Foundation, along with partner the Danish Architecture Centre (Copenhagen), was delighted to announce a new exchange programme for talented emerging architects between the UK and Denmark, scheduled to take place in February and March 2012.
The Denmark_UK exchange focused on the theme Cities and Integration exploring ways in which architecture can address the social and spatial needs of culturally and demographically dynamic populations through case studies in both London and Copenhagen. The Danish architects visited London in March 2012 and the British architects visited Denmark in February 2012, for a programme of events organised by The Architecture Foundation and the Danish Architecture Centre, respectively.
Identified through an expert nomination process, the practices chosen to take part in the exchange programme were:

The participating practices were selected by The Architecture Foundation and the Danish Architecture Centre from nominations submitted by a panel of expert advisors.
The Danish nominating experts were:
Per Schulze, The Danish Foundation for Culture and Sports Facilities; Nille Juul-Sørensen, Danish Design Center; Nicolai Carlberg, Hausenberg; Nicolai Bo Andersen, The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Architecture; Kristoffer Ørum, Funen Art Academy; John Andersen, Roskilde University; Boris Brorman Jensen, Aarhus School of Architecture.
The British nominating experts were:
Anna Doyle, CREATE Festival; Liza Fior, Muf Art + Architecture; Abbas Nokhasteh, Openvizor; and Sunand Prasad, Penoyre & Prasad.
A public lecture took place in Copenhagen and in London on 27 February and 20 March 2012 respectively.
The exchange follows on from successful Architecture Foundation New Architects programmes in Italy, Turkey, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Australia and most recently Finland.
