International Collection of Potential Architecture: Launch Event

Wednesday 6 October 2010 6.30pm

A discussion of paper architecture in the digital age, presenting diverse unrealised projects and debating the role of the unrealised. From architectural provocations to tool-kits for future design - from Mies van der Rohe’s glass skyscraper to the function of the large-scale competition today. Join us at the AF to celebrate the launch of 0047's new website for the International Collection of Potential Architecture.

Fresh from a residency in Venice’s Nordic Pavilion, 0047 Directors Espen Røyseland and Øystein Rø will present the Collection and discuss the ideas that underpin the International Collection of Potential Architecture, alongisde the role of the unbuilt in practice in the past, present and future.

A bar will be set up for the evening, allowing discussion to continue informally following the event, and offering another chance for the public to visit David Kohn’s Skyroom, on the roof of the AF.

Drinks and doors: 6.30pm
Talk and discussion: 7.00pm
Followed by drinks and music

Please note: The Skyroom is a rooftop pavilion, roofed in poor weather, but open to the elements. Please ensure you are dressed appropriately.
