Having cut their teeth
working for Rem Koolhaas on high-profile projects such as Seattle Public
Library, Prada flagship stores, and the master plan for Universal Studios
in Los Angeles, the first commission for husband and wife team, Dan Wood
and Amale Andraos, under their own name, the WORK Architecture Company (WORK AC),
was a dog kennel. Their realization of the project characteristically turned
out to be a highly researched, aesthetically innovative, canine heaven; no
ordinary pound.
Having turned their creative talents to the human sector
they have created built and unbuilt designs for restaurants,
private apartments, retail spaces and town centre masterplans. Dan Wood and Amale Andraos, the partnership that Metropolis Magazine called "emerging
stars", talked about the practice's past experiences and future projects.
