New Practices London and New York: Milieus and Methods
Wednesday 22 August, 6:00-8:30pm

The exhibition launched with a public talk at the Häfele Americas Showroom 25 East 26th Street at Madison Avenue, organised by AIA New York Chapter's New Practices Committee

With London and New York epicenters of cultural and economic prosperity and hotbeds of architecture and design that continue to capture global attention, what are the similarities and distinctions presented by each city to the new practice operating within it? In a unique exchange, new practices from each side of the Atlantic candidly discussed observations, inspirations, concerns, and opportunities characteristic of their respective hometowns. Speakers included 6a Architects (Tom Emerson and Stephanie Macdonald), AOC (Vincent Lacovara), Carmody Groarke (Kevin Caromdy and Andy Groarke) and DRDH Architects (David Howarth and Daniel Rosbottom).

Other events during the exhibition included:
FamilyDay@TheCenter: Design Your Own Exhibition
New Practices London Symposium, as well as an exhibition that ran for two months.
