In this time of global crisis, many schools have had to stop face-to-face teaching, leaving students with limited support both from their tutors and other students in the studio.
School closures have created a huge void in vital studio culture and informal discussion between peers. The London Schools Architecture Collective (LASC) is launching an online cross-school Peer Review scheme in collaboration with the AF’s Young Trustees to find digital methods of communication to collectively support architecture students and look beyond institutional structures.
Over the coming weeks LASC will facilitate a series of online peer reviews connecting students from different institutions who are working around similar topics in groups of 3-4. The reviews/conversations will take place using screen sharing and video calls, with a facilitator from LASC to chair the conversation (and help cut through any mild awkwardness from online communication).
