Benni Allan joins AF Young Trustees Board

Benni Allan, director of estudio b, appointed as a Young Trustee of the Architecture Foundation

The Architecture Foundation is delighted to annouce that Benni Allan is joining the board of young trustees, a team of young practicioners who are a core component of the Foundation's governance and lead the AF's network of volunteers.

Benni is the Director of estudio b, an emerging architecture and design practice working across diverse scales and sectors from education and residential buildings through to catwalks and exhibitions. His practice is based on a process-driven and collaborative way of working, and regularly works alongside artists, fashion designers and makers to drive the development of all his projects. The studio is fascinated by an open-ended architecture to enable opportunities for performance and a freedom of use within space. The work is defined by elegantly crafted responses that employ inventive solutions to complex situations and challenging budgets.

Benni strongly believes that good design should be available to all and tries to promote this both through workshops and through his teaching at the University of Greenwich.

Phineas Harper said on behalf of the AF, "The Architecture Foundation Young Network is an emerging new voice in the profession. Benni has already made a huge contribution to that project – as a volunteer, as a co-ordinator of Part Four events, as an AF Masterclass participant and much else besides. His practice, estudio b has some impressive projects already under its belt and will be exciting to watch. We're thrilled that Benni is joining the young AF trustees and look forward to collaborating with him."

Welcome to the team, Benni!
