Only one week remains for teams to submit portfolios for the opportunity to take part in our The Moorings: Street to Doorstep project.
Working in collaboration with Gallions Housing Association, The AF is seeking teams to partake in a series of honorarium-supported design workshops focusing on The Moorings Housing Estate in Thamesmead, South East London. Four teams will be selected to take part in three targeted workshops to identify and propose potential design-led solutions to issues relating to the estate such as lack of way-finding, underused or forgotten spaces and awkward public squares. It is hoped that a number of proposals will be implemented as a result of the workshops along side the improvement works Gallions are currently carrying out on site.
Teams are asked to submit a portfolio of relevant past work along with a covering letter detailing their interest in the project by Monday 23 September, 10am. Multi-disciplinary teams are encouraged to apply but at least one member must have an architectural background. Workshops will take place in October with final ideas to be presented in November.
