The Architecture Foundation is delighted to announce that Simon Allford and Matthew White have this week joined its Board of Trustees whilst current Trustee Bettina von Hase assumes role as Deputy Chair.

At the forefront of their respective fields, these new appointments will bring a diverse range of specialist knowledge and skills that will enable us to further achieve and implement our mission of advancing architecture and urbanism to enrich life now and in future.”
As Director of award-winning practice Allford Hall Monaghan Morris, Simon Allford (above) has worked on projects including the Stratford residential master plan, The Angel, Tea and Yellow Buildings as well as Adelaide Wharf, the Saatchi Gallery and Chobham Academy, whilst also engaging in broader architectural discussion as a writer, critic, teacher, judge, advisor and commentator.
Matthew White (above), Partner in the planning group of the real estate division at Herbert Smith Freehills, is ranked as a leading individual in Chambers UK and the Legal 500 and is named as one of the country's top five planning solicitors in Planning magazine's annual law survey. Taking over from colleague Patrick Robinson, Partner, Herbert Smith Freehills, who has been a long serving member of the AF Board, Matthew will bring with him a wealth of specialist legal experience.
Independent art advisor and Founder / Director of Nine AM Ltd, Bettina von Hase (above), joined the Architecture Foundation’s Board of Trustees in January 2012. With specialist experience including brand strategy (positioning, fundraising, marketing, communication), management and production, as well as building private collections, Bettina will take over the role of Deputy Chair from Erica Bolton, Founding Partner, Bolton and Quinn. Bolton will remain a Trustee.
