Open call for AF Bulletin designer

The Architecture Foundation is seeking a graphic designer to bring a fresh approach to our quarterly printed Bulletin.

The AF Bulletin is currently published four times a year, and outlines our exciting public programme of exhibitions, events, projects and competitions. The Bulletin also presents important information about The AF, our Supporters and how to become an AF Member. The current format--a four to five page, double-sided A5 concertina booklet, printed in full colour--will remain for the foreseeable future.

In 2009, The AF worked with Peter and Paul to create a new visual identity for the organisation including a logo, colour palette, fonts etc. This identity is used across all our external communications including our website, stationery and the Bulletin. We wish for the existing design elements such as logo and fonts within the Bulletin to remain in place, but layout of content and image treatment is open for interpretation.

We have subsequently enjoyed working with a range of studios, and are now looking to appoint a new designer to deliver a year-long cycle of quarterly Bulletins, beginning this autumn.

Please email a PDF portfolio (of no more than 5 pages) with the subject line 'Bulletin Designer' to Publications Coordinator Zofia Trafas on zofia@architecturefoundation.org.uk by 6pm on 8 August 2013, showcasing past projects you have worked on which you think best demonstrate your ability and suitability for this project. Links to websites or online portfolios will not be accepted.

The fee for the selected designer will be £375 per Bulletin. The designer must be available to start work on our Autumn Bulletin from September 2013 (for distribution in early October 2013). We will shortlist a number of candidates for interview during w/c 12 August 2013. Due to the anticipated high volume of interest we regret that we are unable to contact unsuccessful applicants.

The current AF Bulletin is available from our headquarters in Southwark.
