Three Exciting Opportunities

The AF is currently recruiting for three exciting opportunities:

Illustrator
The London Festival of Architecture (LFA) is seeking portfolio-based expressions of interest for an illustrator to create at atmospheric image that sums up the spirit and offer of the Festival, which will next take place this June. The LFA is a month-long and citywide exploration of London's built environment; investigating the importance of architecture and design in the capital's success and celebrating the city's role as a global hub of architectural experimentation, thinking, learning and practice. Running annually from this summer onwards, the LFA is organised by The Architecture Foundation, British Council, NLA and RIBA London, in concert with some of London's leading cultural institutions.

Please note that we are not seeking a logo in this instance, but rather an illustration that can be used in our initial press and marketing campaign. As such, it should contain pictorial elements, appeal to a broad public audience, and be appropriate for both print and web formats.

A one-off creative fee of £500 + VAT is available for this commission. The successful illustrator will grant the client irrevocable copyright to the commissioned image, which the client will make every effort to appropriately credit the illustrator when their image is used. Interested candidates should email one eight to ten-page PDF (max 5Mb) with their name in the document title, which showcases relevant previous work and a short written CV with subject line "LFA illustration" to: demitra@architecturefoundation.org.uk.

Digital submissions only please. Deadline for submissions is 5pm, Friday 8 March. A decision to appoint will be taken by 15 March and the successful candidate must be available to complete the illustration by 29 March, incorporating two potential rounds of revisions following client feedback if necessary.
