For summer 2012 the Urban Pioneers programme has come to Heathrow, to explore the airport and its hinterland with regards to local need vs. national infrastructure. Through a series of creative workshops with architects, artists, activists, urbanists and designers a group of young people from the London Borough of Hillingdon are exploring the area's built environment, and the issues it faces.
You can follow all the latest adventures from the project blog.
The Urban Pioneers Programme is sponsored by Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners.
