Musicity: video now online

You can now watch the video of our sold-out Musicity event which took place in April. The evening boasted live performance, DJs and conversation - including a discussion chaired by Vicky Richardson of the British Council between architect David Adjaye, musician Peter Adjaye, author Dr Michael Bull and journalist Paul Morley.

Musicity is a unique online platform, founded and curated by DJ Nick Luscombe of Flomotion and creative strategist Simon Jordan (Jump Studios) which seeks to encourage people to explore the city musically, architecturally and experientially by commissioning musicians to compose original tracks in response to a building, site or piece of the city that inspires them. The artists' recordings can then only be heard by physically visiting these locations and streaming the tracks through a purpose built smart phone app - making urban exploration a vital component of the musical experience - the ‘transaction' necessary to hear the artist's direct responses to the built environment.
