AF Director joins Meanwhile London Competition jury

The AF is delighted to announce that Director Sarah Ichioka has been invited to judge entries to a new competition that seeks bold interim uses for three prominent brownfield sites - and the adjacent water - in London's Royal Docks and Canning Town areas. The Meanwhile London competition, which is part of the transformation of the Royal Docks, provides an opportunity for developers, investors, designers, artists, thinkers, entrepreneurs, and community groups to devise temporary uses for these prominent sites.

The competition engages with strategies of creative interim uses explored earlier this year through the AF's Legacy Plus symposium and publication, convened in partnership with Space studios and support from Design for London.

Other judges include Roger Madelin, Argent Group joint chief executive and London Mayor's Design Advisory Panel member, and Amanda Baillieu, Building Design editorial director.
