Finlay Shakespeare is an electronic musician, producer and engineer working from Bristol, UK. His latest musical project concentrates on live, semi-improvised modular-centric performances, incorporating battery operated drum machines and radio transmitted vocals with minimal editing and mixing of the recorded result. Documented across a year's worth of monthly EP releases, the "Housediet" project pulls inspiration predominantly from electronic music of the late 1970s and early 1980s, from the likes of The Human League, Cabaret Voltaire and Severed Heads. Whilst new systems are typically configured for each performance, his sonic footprint remains recognisable and consistent.
Outside of his solo work, Finlay Shakespeare is also an engineer at modular synthesizer firm Future Sound Systems, as well as the in-house engineer for the Moog Sound Lab UK. Through the latter, he has collaborated with acts ranging from Suicide, through Simon Fisher-Turner, The Grid and Blood Sport, to Mica Levi & Eliza McCarthy.

Sax God and master of all buttons and knobs Tomoya Foster of Pumarosa fame will be exploring the electronic sonic universe live aboard AirDraft on Saturday night.

This event is part of the AirDraft Festival, a programme of events curated by Thomas Randall-Page and Benedetta Rogers as part of their winning 2018 Antepavilion commissionn.
