Operating in a procurement culture that is increasingly defined by the belief that big is the answer, the life of the small architectural practice has never been more challenging. Yet, for those that do survive, the rewards can be considerable, including greater creative independence and a better work-life balance than their colleagues in larger practices enjoy.
The next Part Four talk will hear from successful architects who run small practices and have so far resisted the temptation to grow.
Speakers include: Catrina Beevor (Bevor Mull), Max Kahlen (Dyvik Kahlen), Fiona Macdonald (Matt+Fiona), Hugh Strange (Hugh Strange Architects) & Charles Holland (Charles Holland Architects).
Part Four is programmed by the Architecture Foundation’s Young Trustees. The evening will be chaired by Benni Allan and Neba Sere.
The events are free but booking is essential. Audience members should send their questions to youngtrustees@architecturefoundation.org.uk by November 9th.
