There are many similarities of experience and overlaps between the histories of Jewish and Muslim communities in Britain, in terms of migration histories, discrimination and architecture.
Join us for a presentation and discussion between architectural historians Sharman Kadish and Shahed Saleem on British Muslim and Jewish architectural histories, exploring how complex stories of culture, identity and architecture intertwine.
Sharman Kadish is author of 'The Synagogues of Britain and Ireland: an architectural and social history', and Shahed Saleem is author of 'The British Mosque: an architectural and social history'.
This event forms part of the live programme associated with the exhibition Congregation.
