To launch our late Summer season of outdoor films, the Potemkin Theatre presents Jacques Tati's slapstick masterpiece, Mon Oncle.

The second Hulot movie and Tati’s first color film, Mon Oncle tells the story of nine-year-old Gérard Arpel who escapes the sterilised consumer-led society of his parents into the merry chaos of his beloved Uncle's eccentric lifestyle.

Mon Oncle won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film, a Special Prize at the 1958 Cannes Film Festival, and the New York Film Critics Circle Award for Best Foreign Language Film.
