Mary Duggan founded Mary Duggan Architects in London in March 2017, having been a founding partner of Duggan Morris since 2004. Last year the practice completed the Dorothea Lange exhibition at the Barbican, and current projects include a 157-home scheme for developer Brick by Brick in Croydon and a new events and conference venue for the Science Museum.
Duggan will speak on the subject of representation through a series of projects and references worked on by the firm over the past two years. Interested in the creative potential of cross-disciplinary interaction, the practice has since its foundation supported a rolling residency programme for emerging and established artists and makers. To date this includes a ceramicist, an illustrator and a sculptor, all of whom contributed to the development of live projects in the office.
Architecture on Stage is a series of talks by the world's best architects programmed by the Architecture Foundation in partnership with the Barbican Centre.
